When you don't want to leave the comfort of your hotel but can't miss out on the sunset and a camel ride over the golden sand dunes, this experience is perfect for you. Journey deep into the heart of the desert to see the surprisingly beautiful sand dunes with their playful fusion of light and shadow during the colorful sunset hours. A fabulous view of the sun setting over the desert dunes are memories you will cherish from this camel safari. Arrive at the sand dunes and climb approximately 80 meters up to the highest dune of Erg Chebbi. For those that prefer a panoramic sight of the setting sun, they can climb to the top of the dunes (approximately 15 minutes climb). Those who prefer remaining below can enjoy the setting sun in the local surroundings where we leave the camels. After sunset on our way back to the hotel, we will visit the oasis where local villagers survive. As the sun is not that hot, you can have a close look at how local people practice agriculture in the desert and how they get water. This will be an important opportunity to learn about irrigation, local people's work, and how roles are divided between men and women. After the oasis visit, we will visit the nomad depot where all local people and nomads display their things to show part of their culture. Experience their Berber & Arabic costumes and have pictures. Note that their items are also for sale as it helps them make their living.
